Volunteers needed for Food Distribution

Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

The Houston Food Bank will be hosting a month-long event spotlighting hunger. The theme and slogan for this year is Hunger Bites. There will be 30 food fairs going on throughout Houston on September 16, 2009.

The Ripley House on Navigation will be participating as a distribution site and is currently seeking volunteers to help. The tentative hours are from 7:00am – 2:00pm. Yoga - Updated

ALC is offering a free yoga class for its members on Thursday, August 20 at 4:30 p.m. at the Clay Road YMCA.

Yoga improves flexibility, strength, muscle tone and reduces stress. If you have not already tried yoga, take the class to see how you like it. It may work for you!
