MECA Celebrates Sor Juana
Visual Art Exhibit honoring Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz
This exhibit features artwork inspired by seventeenth century Mexican nun Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1651-1695), one of the greatest poets and playwrights of her time, and the first person in the Americas to argue in writing for the rights of women to be educated.
Reception to be held March 18, 8 p.m. at MECA, 1900 Kane, Houston
