Amigas Latinas for College: Houston, Texas; Amigas Latinas for College is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity in Houston, Texas. We are a grass roots, peer support/mentor organization that mentors and supports through various methods and strategies Hispanic middle school and high school girls who want to achieve a higher education. We also provide scholarships to eligible and deserving candidates. Our 2010-2011 board members are Executive Director Virginia Baxt, EdD; Hilda Bautista, ALC Alumnus; Elizabeth Bohorquez, Attorney; Amy Gasca, VP Commercial Operations, Entrust Energy; Andrea Ramirez, Attorney; and Lynn Rodriguez, Attorney.
