Beginning December 1, 2009 through the second week in February, 2010, graduating high school seniors interested in the medical profession can apply to the Partnership for Primary Care Program at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. This innovative program gives you the opportunity to pursue a medical degree without taking the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). While there are no shortcuts to a quality education, there is an alternative path to gaining entrance into medical school. The PPC program is designed to help qualified, dedicated young people get a foot in the door of the medical field and to eventually contribute to improving health care in parts of Texas that need it most.More information about the program can be found here.
